I hope everyone had some fun in the sun in July. We definitely had some great weather! As a Florida native, it seems that summers here in California go by way too fast! We had a terrific time at our annual Potluck this year with the Luau theme. A big congratulation goes out to all our contest winners and a big THANK YOU to Wanda and Jim Turner for so graciously opening their beautiful home to us! It was great food and a beautiful evening!
We recently attended the annual leadership workshop that was held in Fresno this year. In attendance from IPSJC were Kelly Stephens, Beth Ossino, Kim Jenkins, Stephanie Solano and myself. The workshop was jam packed with information for us to utilize in our upcoming year. The discussions topics included Protocol, Budget Preparation, Marketing, Conflict Resolution, and much more! The Insurance Women of Fresno and the CA Council did an excellent job of conveying all of the information as well as their eagerness about the upcoming year and their willingness to help. I think we all left with some good ideas we can apply to the upcoming year.
Mark your calendars for August 24, because that will be our first general meeting of the New Year and our first “I CAN” series course. This will be an informative meeting where our committee chairs will briefly speak about what they have in store for us for the upcoming year and what they hope to accomplish with the support of the membership. Please make sure to come out and show your support to your new Board and IPSJC!
